In today’s digital age, we’re all expected to have a social media presence but creating and maintaining an interesting and engaging social media profile can be daunting. At least, I find it so.
Personally, I don’t find it easy to post on Instagram, Twitter, or other social media platforms on a regular basis cause if I’m doing it just for the purpose of keeping engagement alive, it feels like I’m obligated to do so and I’m not genuine or authentic.
On the other hand, engaging on social media or other online channels can be very rewarding sometimes. Especially, when I do it the way I want to do it, which means sharing blog posts on the subjects that I find interesting, connecting with people that I want to connect and overall seeing it as a hobby rather than a side-hustle.
So, this is simply how I keep engaging on social media or other platforms without feeling obligated:
- I find the platforms that work best for me.
- I don’t post to gain more followers but I appreciate every interaction.
- I don’t make myself feel obligated to follow anyone or like anyone’s post.
- I don’t pressure myself to put out great work. Sharing my thoughts, feelings or my work is enough.
